Section 02 The panel

The expert panel

The panel: the people holding the handpiece, reading the trials, or asking what the rest of the body is doing to the face.

Open journals, tortoiseshell reading glasses and coffee on warm ivory linen
The reading pile, most weeks
How the panel works

Anyone can hold an opinion about skin. Very few hold one tested against a clinic list, a device maker’s claims, or a peer-review process. The rule for a place on this panel is simple: the person treats skin professionally, formulates for it, or researches it, and says things in public that a press release never would. Each card carries the credentials, the platforms we read, how much of their public commentary sits in our archive, and every commercial interest we could find declared in plain sight.

Between them the panel has put 12,092 videos and 54,392 individual opinions in front of our readers. Nothing on this page is sponsored and nothing is affiliate-linked.

How a name earns a place here

One test, applied without sentiment: does this person tell you something a press release never would. Board certification and published work count. So does saying a treatment was not worth it, naming the settings behind a result, or admitting the honest limits of a device. A large audience earns nobody a card.

The declarations

Why the commercial interests sit on each card

Most of these experts sell something: a product line, a clinic chair, an advisory seat. That is not a disqualification, it is context. We list every interest we could verify, and on the product ratings a sponsored video or an own-brand product is flagged beside the quote it touches.

Now in use

The panel powers the product ratings

Fourteen named experts, each read in full from the first video to the latest: 12,092 videos distilled into 54,392 considered opinions on 710 products. Sponsored videos and own-brand interests are flagged in plain sight, and every line links to its source.
