Five names our experts agree on almost unanimously. Start here.
La Roche-Posay EffaclarTen voices, one verdict: the acne range that outruns its price.
La Roche-Posay AntheliosThe sunscreen the panel reaches for: high UVA cover, no white cast.
Azelaic acidThe most loved acid on the shelf: redness, dark spots and breakouts, answered in one step.

Ask our experts anything
Best retinol for sensitive skin? What fades pigmentation? The answer draws only on what the panel has said in public.
Answers draw on our experts’ published commentary only, and every line links to its source. Editorial, not medical advice: patch-test first, and see your dermatologist about anything persistent.
Grouped by verdict, strongest evidence first. Open any card to read the panel voice by voice; sponsored videos and own-brand promotion stay flagged, always.

Method How verdicts are weighed
- Read from public expert contentNothing here is a press release or a brand claim. Each line is a reading of what a credentialed voice said in a published video, quoted in context and linked back to the timestamp or the reel it came from.
- Every opinion is weighted by independenceSponsored videos are discounted, and own-brand promotion is heavily discounted. A verdict built on paid placements never outranks one built on unpaid, unaffiliated commentary.
- Consensus needs two or more independent voicesOne doctor liking something is a data point, not a verdict. A card needs at least three logged opinions from two or more independent voices; everything short of that bar sits in “Also on file” until the evidence deepens.
- The file grows weeklyThis edition reads all fourteen archives in full, across long-form video, short-form reels and TikTok. Behind every star sits the full file: fourteen trusted voices, more than 54,000 considered opinions across roughly 12,000 sources, and every line links to its source. The file keeps deepening, so verdicts can move, tighten or flip as new opinions arrive.
- Editorial, not medical adviceAlways patch-test, and check the ingredient list against our product standard before anything joins a daily routine.
